2ND PHASE OF THE WORKS ON THE MASÓ BUILDING IN SARIÀ DE TER

The project envisages the restoration of the ceramics, carpentry and locksmithing of the building and contemplates the structuring of the facing of the facade with a vibrant finish.

On Monday, September 16th, Fortià Arquitectos and Chroma began the second phase of the restoration project, which consisted of restoring the ceramic tiles, woodwork, and metalwork. The stucco finish of the façade walls was also completed with a vibrated texture. The company responsible for the work is Chroma, specializing in architectural heritage restoration, and the site manager is the restorer Cristina Thió. Fortià Arquitectos provided project management and construction supervision. The restoration work included the façade walls, railings, and other metalwork elements, as well as the ground floor base. The original woodwork of the building, designed by Rafael Masó, was also restored, and the final treatment of the wiring along the façade was completed.

The project, commissioned by the Sarrià de Ter City Council, received a grant from the Girona Provincial Council as part of its monument restoration program.
