The project to build a multipurpose laboratory space for the cultural and creative industries in the chapel of Santa Llúcia was drafted in February 2020. Girona City Council has tendered the works in May 2021. In the month of In October of this year, the different works that will allow the start of cultural creation activities within this year 2021 have already been completed.

The project has tried to establish an interesting dialogue between the construction systems of a historic monument of the twelfth century with contemporary construction techniques, so that the intervention is understood as a superimposed action and with an ephemeral character, without distorting at no time the essence of the original building.

The global action is part of the PECT program of cultural and creative industries within the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union (ERDF 2014-2020). The facultative direction of the works has been in charge of the municipal architect Rafael Ros.
