The purpose of this project is the study of dampness pathologies detected inside the stone vault of the central apse in the Romanesque Monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants in Girona (Gironès). Through the ocular inspection and punctual tests, a diagnosis of the origin of the dampness has been made in order to propose a constructive solution that takes into account the historical, structural, constructive and economic aspects.
We have chosen to carry out the following parallel actions:

- Invert the slope and direction of the upper rain gutter located on the northeastern roof, where it intersects part of the main nave and the bell tower.
Previously it was observed that the collected rainwater, filtered partially through the meeting of the apse with the nave's wall. The sealing and connection of the rain gutter was not watertight and there were water leaks.

- Place a metal perimeter profile of zinc between the meeting of the apse cover and the vertical face of the main nave, on the outside.
It was observed that the pieces of the apse cover were not well placed; they did not properly enter the vertical wall to avoid water seeping in, and the same mortar joint could not cope with this tightness by itself. The new piece will prevent water from seeping through the joint between the apse and the wall.

- The oculus glass was replaced, which was broken, being faithful to the techniques and arrangements of the stained glass windows in this type of original Romanesque openings.
At the same time, it is expected to consolidate the mortar lining of the exterior face of the same vertical face of the main nave, since some points in poor condition were detected.
On the other hand, it is planned and proposed another intervention for later. It would study, clean and consolidate the entire east facade of the church.
