INTERVENTION AT CA LA XICA IN JAFRE (BAIX EMPORDÀ)

The developers, brothers Isaac and Guillem Batllori Pagès, commissioned the drafting of the preliminary project in November 2022, with the aim of providing an initial outline and roadmap for the intervention.

At our firm, we carried out the intervention on the traditional building located in the historic center of Jafre. An initial study was also conducted on the program and intended use of the building, as well as the urban visibility and planning compliance of the comprehensive renovation and new layout of the Ca la Xica building.

The urban core of Jafre is located on the left bank of the Ter River, atop a small ridge, and develops through a series of small terraces that accommodate the slope down to the GI-634 road.
