The project, with a total budget of €258,000, is part of the Territorial Specialization and Competitiveness Project (PECT) applied to the historical and cultural heritage of Roses.
- The object of this project is:
- Recover and rehabilitate the traditional architectural heritage of the dry stone farmland margins and the landscape with vineyards and olive groves located at the foot of the Castle of Trinidad
- Enhance the defensive architecture of the municipality, recovering the path that joined the two fortifications of the Ciutadella and the Castle of the Trinity and proposing for public visit the post-war defense bunkers currently existing in the lower part of the castle.
- Influence the perception of the castle and the coast of Rosin with the creation of external paths that make possible a tour of the surroundings with new visuals towards the fortification and towards the coast of the place.
In the months of October 2022 to January 2023, the execution of the works has been carried out. The direction of the works has been in charge of Josep Maria Fortià, architect editor; Sebastià Villena, municipal technical architect; Josep Maria Masblanch, assistant to the town planning department; and Roger Solé as advisor and dry stone expert. The construction company was Construccions Quera d'Agullana. Daniel Abad, municipal architect, Eduard Muixach, agronomist engineer and Paola Medina, lighting consultant, also participated. The works have ended in February 2023.
