It was designed by master builder Sebastià Pi i Pi, a prominent builder from La Bisbal in that era. The house is an important example of the city’s architectural heritage. Notable features include the crafted ironwork, the façade profile, the balconies, the woodwork, the decorative ornaments, and the back courtyard.
Also noteworthy is the winter garden behind the building, which used to have a gallery and a pond with a pergola, now out of use.
The owners plan to turn the house into their permanent residence. This will involve a series of remodeling and improvement works, starting with the restoration of the façade on Sant Roc Street.
We continue to support historical architecture and its most genuine values, in this case in the city of Figueres and in the Empordà, an important cultural and economic hub in northern Catalonia in the 20th century, which is now gaining momentum again.
