REHABILITATION OF THE ''TINES DELS MANXONS'' IN CALLÚS (BAGES)

The Tines dels Manxons in Callús were inaugurated on December 14th after being rehabilitated.

Fortià Arquitectes has been awarded the Rehabilitation of the Tines complex located at the foot of the vineyard in the municipality of Els Manxons, a neighborhood located to the west of the nucleus of Callús, next to the Cardener River. Specifically, the Tines dels Manxons are a heritage site cataloged in the Inventory of Cultural Assets prepared by the Barcelona Provincial Council. The scope of action is within the UNESCO Global Geopark of Central Catalonia, which is located in a privileged location in the heart of Catalonia.

In mid-May 2019, the rehabilitation works of the Tines dels Manxons in Callús began. Initially, all the demolitions, the use of the original structures and the wooden elements were considered. Later, the structure of the Tines that can be visited was prepared.

On December 14, the inauguration of the Tines dels Manxons space took place in Callús

The event was attended by the mayor of Callús, Mr. Joan Badia, the regional councilor, Agustí, the councilor for tourism Mireia Lladó, the councilor for urban planning, Lluís Martí and the councilor for education Rosa Ginestà. The architect Josep Maria Fortià gave a presentation of the traditional architecture of the Tines and the works that have been carried out there. The museumization of the space was also presented as well as the signage within the FEDER program "Geotourism in Bages".
