REHABILITATION OF THE WALL OF SANT MARTÍ D'EMPÚRIES
The City Council of L’Escala proposes the restoration of the historic walls of the Sant Martí d’Empúries nucleus.
We have carried out the Intervention project in the walled enclosure of Sant Martí d’Empúries, working together with the City Council of L’Escala.
The wall of the fortified enclosure of Empúries is a construction developed over several centuries. It presents a wide variety of construction situations, issues, and pathologies in the different walls of this historic element. The intervention, planned as the first phase of a more comprehensive process, will focus on repairing the pathologies, cohesion loss, and consolidation, as well as on archaeological research.
The technical team includes Pep Fortià and Raimon Bustos, architects; Jordi Bonsoms, surveyor; and Cristina Thió from Chroma Restoration.
