The remodeling project was drawn up in 2017 by Fortià Arquitectos. The proposal proposes an action in the reception and access space of the monument. The objective of the intervention is to provide the monument with good environmental conditions of comfort to the aforementioned modules, respond to the accessibility of the different areas and gain space for the store and library area.
It will intervene by closing and expanding the module with a laminated glass facing and an automatic access door. The floorboards and the entrance ramp as well as the store space are also expanded. The lighting system is rethought and the space is heated with electric radiators.
Finally, a new design and assembly of the exhibition furniture and visitor services office is proposed.
Photographer Xavier Busquets, who specializes in architectural photography, has captured images of the intervention at the visitor reception center.
