SPECIAL PLAN FOR LA FABRIQUETA IN MAS NOU (MARESME)

The aim of this Special Urban Development Plan was to define the heritage elements of the building complex, through both physical and historical analysis, in order to regulate potential interventions with the purpose of protecting the architectural, historical, and heritage values of the buildings.

The factory is located at the northwestern edge of the old town of El Masnou, in an area of low-rise terraced houses (ground floor and upper floor), set back from the seafront. It occupies a block in the center of El Masnou, bordered by the streets Bonaventura Bassegoda i Amigó, Placeta de Joan Roig, Joan Roig Street, Santa Anna Street, and Sant Josep Street. "La Fabriqueta" and its industrial annexes occupy two-thirds of the plot. The remaining area is taken up by four houses built on four rectangular plots. The eastern boundary of the factory plot, where the courtyard is located, adjoins the party wall of the houses.
