The building known as "La Sala" recently became part of the municipal facilities, but its interior layout, accessibility, installations, and closures make it very difficult to use it effectively as a fully operational municipal facility. The opportunity to rehabilitate this building and adapt it to new needs represents a significant improvement for the municipality, as it would not only reactivate social interaction, but also provide a new space for cultural workshops and other recreational and educational activities.

The large halls that are planned will eliminate many of the architectural barriers in the building, while also improving access to its immediate surroundings, thus initiating a process of modernization in this area, located to the north of the town center and its main square, currently unused.

The history of the "La Sala" building shows that it was used as a restaurant for over 40 years. Located on one of the main transit routes of the municipality, the proposal aims to adapt the building both internally and externally, pursuing a traditional-style intervention that respects the surroundings, while also being highly efficient and sustainable.

The purpose of the project is the rehabilitation of the La Sala building in Canet d'Adri to adapt it to a new use as a Multipurpose Space, as well as its adaptation to the new energy efficiency and environmental sustainability requirements established by current regulations. The result of the intervention will be a functional building, well integrated into its surroundings, and flexible in its use. Construction will use durable, low-maintenance materials.
