CATALOGUE OF FARMHOUSES IN GAIÀ (BAGES)

In 2022, the Gaià Town Council presented us with the Special Plan for the Catalogue of Farmhouses, Rural Houses and Other Buildings on Non-Developable Land in Gaià (Bages).

The drafting of this Special Plan for the Catalogue of Farmhouses, Rural Houses and Other Constructions on Non-Developable Land has been promoted by the Gaià Town Council.

In the informative report phase, an analysis and diagnosis of the Non-Developable Land (NDL) in the municipality of Gaià was carried out, with the aim of identifying dwellings and other constructions with potential historical, architectural, landscape or social value, in order to inventory and regulate them. Constructions that may be eligible for reconstruction or rehabilitation were also identified, in accordance with the provisions of Article 47 of the Consolidated Text of the Urban Planning Law.

The elements to be catalogued in the future Special Plan for Farmhouses, Rural Houses and Other Constructions on Non-Developable Land are:

  • Farmhouses and rural houses that should be preserved or recovered for architectural, historical, environmental, landscape or social reasons.

  • Other constructions built prior to the entry into force of the first general urban planning instrument of the municipality, which should be preserved and recovered for architectural or historical reasons.

  • Rural constructions currently in disuse that should be rehabilitated in order to mitigate their negative environmental or landscape impact.
