SITE-SPECIFIC URBAN PLANNING AMENDMENT IN LA VALL D'EN BAS (GARROTXA)

The process of Specific Modification No. 17 has been motivated, as with all such urban planning tools, by the need to correct the discrepancies that have been identified over time since the POUM came into force.

Specifically, this Specific Modification aims to further detail certain aspects related to the implementation of energy, telecommunications, potable water supply, and sanitation networks in non-developable land, and to clarify in which types of non-developable land the provision of such infrastructure services is deemed admissible.

On June 18th, 2008, the Girona Urban Planning Commission agreed to approve the Municipal Urban Development Plan (POUM) of La Vall d’en Bas, with some amendments made ex officio. The document was published in the Official Gazette of the Government of Catalonia (DOGC) on January 26th, 2009. Prior to this current modification of the POUM of La Vall d’en Bas, 12 modifications had been published.

La Vall d’en Bas currently has a General Urban Plan from the year 2009, the Municipal Urban Development Plan of La Vall d’en Bas (2008 / 032214 / G). These regulations have been subject to 12 Specific Modifications published between 2012 and 2025. Furthermore, the municipality also has a number of special urban plans aimed at adapting to the specific needs of areas that include rural farmhouses or facilities.
