SPECIAL HERITAGE PLAN OF VILADECANS (BAIX LLOBREGAT)

The working document for the drafting of the Special Urban Planning Plan for Heritage and Catalogue of Assets of Viladecans (Baix Llobregat) aims to provisionally define a list of singular or collective heritage assets in the municipality that should be protected due to their architectural, natural, and environmental values. This initial list will serve as the basis for the future Catalogue of Protected Assets of Viladecans.

The protection categories of the assets included in the PEPPiC are those established in the document Content Guidelines for Catalogues of Protected Assets and Special Protection Plans, jointly prepared by the Department of Territory and Sustainability and the Department of Culture of the Government of Catalonia (February 2013). These categories are framed within Law 9/1993, of September 30, on Catalan Cultural Heritage (LPCC), and the urban planning regulations.

The category assigned to each asset has been determined based on principles derived from sector-specific legislation and the particular characteristics of each element. Once an asset is catalogued through the approval of this PEPPiC, it will become part of the municipality’s protected heritage, with all corresponding legal and administrative implications.

Four categories are established: three corresponding to those defined by the LPCC (BCIN, BCIL, and EPA), and a fourth for assets protected through urban planning (BPU). This latter category can include as many subtypes as necessary, depending on the specific characteristics of the assets.
