JOSEP FORTIÀ, INVITED TO THE III SYMPOSIUM: DIALOGUES OF L'ESCALA
On March 24 and 25, the Conference on the protection of cultural and natural heritage as tools for the future took place in l'Escala
The Director of the Fortià Arquitectes team spoke at the conference in Dialogue 3: Architectural Heritage, Rehabilitation and Uses. In the same dialogue, Marc Riera, president of the College of Architects of Catalonia COAC and Irene Llussent, architect and head of the Monuments service of the Diputació de Girona, took part.
This symposium raised a debate on such a transversal concept as cultural and natural heritage. L'Escala is one of the towns with the most quantity and diversity of heritage elements in Catalonia. The protection and dissemination of these elements of our history is carried out by different institutions, and also by civil society. This heritage is usually classified into three main branches: cultural heritage, natural heritage and intangible heritage.
