RESTORATION ON THE FACADES OF THE MONASTERY OF CERVIÀ DE TER
In the intervention, all the exterior walls have been rehabilitated and new criteria and techniques for heritage rehabilitation have been introduced.
The Cervià Monastery building is a historic building of high architectural value, declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest, dating from the 14th century. An important refurbishment and change of use operation was carried out in the 1980s. The City Council of Cervià de Ter settled in the same monastery.
The City Council is currently proposing a complete intervention in the exterior facades of the facades and cloister, which have received public subsidies for intervention in buildings of high historical value. The intervention project was drafted in 2020 by Fortià Arquitectes and in 2021 has been executed. The works, which have involved the intervention in sensitive elements, have been carried out by the specialized company Chroma, headed by the restorer Cristina Thió.
